Since 2003, St. Vincent de Paul has been a key distribution partner of the non-profit Matter (formerly Hope for the City). Through this program, perishable foods donated by Super Valu, Costco, Michael Foods, Gold'n Plump, J&B Group and other organizations were redistributed through St. Vincent de Paul food shelves and free stores.
Currently, St. Vincent de Paul supplies perishable foods to 20 non-profits operating food shelves and other charitable food programs. In 2015, more than 1,000 tons of food moved through our Minneapolis facility. Employing efficient supply chains solutions and sound business practices, St. Vincent de Paul has developed a new and sustainable ministry. |
We believe the success of this ministry is a result of our clear and unwavering focus on our mission to serve the poor.
